August 26, 1920 the 19th Amendment was signed into the US Constitution by Sec. of State Bainbridge Colby.


Section 1. The right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
