Obamacare is bad for the country

All despots have a common characteristic -- the fear the people will raise up. One of the most effective methods to control dissent is to know who is out there creating trouble. From the earliest times despots have used snitches and informants to control those who may oppose an administration. The children of the Hitler Youth were encouraged to report their parents if they were not with the program. The stories of friends and neighbors reporting to the Communist Governments of China nad the old USSR any suspicious act are legion.

That is why I find this statement from the White House so ominous:

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

I am not calling the current administration a Nazi, or a Communist or a despot. But this when coupled with The Obamas call for a civilian force equal in size to the Military sends cold shivers up my back. It is not a leap from snitching to the concentration camps proposed by Alinsky to a modern gestapo. I am not a black helicopter -there is a conspiracy in every action- federal wiretaps on my communications-snitches under the bed-kind of guy, but this makes me a little nervous. First the Government demands you give access to your computer if you visit the cash for clunkers website, the Health care bill in the House allows the Feds access to your bank accounts and now we are encouraged to report anyone who disagrees with the goal of nationalizing health care? Call me paranoid!

Can you imagine the sound and fury from the media if this had happened under the previous administration?

Turn me in. I am a willing guinea pig.
