There's nothing lost about that mail. It's stored in the federally-mandated email archive and they just don't want to admit it, so they're standing on a claim of "her hard drive died and ate the data, and we don't have the backup tapes anymore."
But it's doubtful that the mail was ever even stored on her computer.
