Starbucks offers a big "screw you" to American workers

How does this sound for a business model? First adopt public policies that take a political stance that alienates fifty percent of your market. Double down by stating that you are going to give hiring precedence to non-Americans?

Good choice Starbucks. I cannot imagine why your sales are flat and declining in many locations.

So in a nation where black teen unemployment tops 25% you are going out of your way to offer 10,000 jobs to "refugees"?

When unions push the "made in America" label how does it look to actively try to hire non-Americans?

How about a policy that looks for the best candidate to fill the open position?

They're still just ticked off that they lost, and throwing tantrums.

Saw an article in the WSJ either yesterday or the day before, second-tier cities whinging that the immigration ban is depriving them of badly-needed people to fill jobs (and presumably, pay local taxes).

My immediate reaction was, "Why don't you go recruiting in the 'hood in Chicago, or frankly, any other big city, where unemployment is rampant?"

Of course, I know the answer: "Oh, we don't want them. They're troublemakers."
