Monday Monologue

A couple of baby bunnies are frolicking in the rain out by the big pine tree at the back corner of the yard. The boy's dog will go crazy if he sees them. It has rained on and off all weekend. We desperately needed the rain. Yards were late July brown. They have soaked up the rain like a sponge. I am sure more than one area farmer is offering prayers of thanks.

The kids, minus the one in Colorado, all went to dinner last night to celebrate my wife's birthday. She is never more content than when her kids and granddaughter are around.

That was the weekend. Rain kept us confined for the most part. I managed a walk Saturday morning. I read a lot. That is it.

Not the riveting prose and insightful commentary you were looking for, is it? You should be used to that disappointment by now.

I enjoy the descriptive prose.
