I think I’ll run for mayor of Mudsock. The property tax issue needs adjusted. For one thing, the poor minority neighborhoods need more services so we should shift the tax burden to those neighborhoods.

Shifting the tax burden in NYC means that the 1%, the 5% should pay a fairer share of taxes. This guy just said the quiet part out loud though because those neighborhoods who oay the least in taxes proportionate to their income just happen to be white. Nobody says ‘let’s tax the black neighborhoods more’ but guess who gets taxed at a higher rate than other neighborhoods for the same services? Whatever, the majority of voters in NYC liked his message. The NYC tax rate is a purely NYC issue; same for the tax rate in Indiana or elsewhere - it does not affect me and never will unless I move to NYC. Segregation? Apples and oranges.
