Dangerous Thinking

We need to take over Greenland for the long-term security of the United States.

Now substitute "Ukraine" for Greenland and "Russia" for The United States.

If you don't like that analogy try ,Sudetenland, Alsace-Lorraine, the Balkans, or Tibet...

  1. Your analogy is false. We didn't invade Greenland, and we aren't likely to.

  2. I'm with Fuzzy.
Actually, we have agreements with Denmark from the 50's that allow us unlimited military investment in Greenland.
    To protect Europe.
    Because they can't.

    1. Then why do we need to “own” it?

  3. It is called political rhetoric and you join the many worldwide who just don't seem to understand it.

    2. That is it. Haven't you seen where Trump says something which then gets people to do that which they said they wouldn't do? There are memes about this Trump phenomenom. His rhetoric gets people hopping. Once you understand it, its comical to watch. And it pays real dividends.

  4. It’s kind of weird how so many people still don’t understand the basics of negotiation particularly the way Trump does it. Demand the whole pie before actual negotiating sessions begin. Make your wants loud and clear. Then, when at the table grudgingly and slowly agree to accept what you wanted all the time. Something that appears to be less than what you first demanded.

    1. I’ve spent 30 years negotiating contracts. I finalized one with my biggest customer last month worth about $18MUSD.

That bombastic technique may work. It also sometimes means the other party walks away.

Rolling over in negotiations can also make you look weak and indecisive.

Too many people are sycophants when it comes to Trump. Ask yourself, if Obama or Clinton behaved this way would you be OK with it?

    2. No. Because not one thing about Clinton or the other is worthy of trust. While I am wary of Trump, so far he has not betrayed my trust.

  5. Too many people spend too much time paying attention to liberals.
