This is not about politics

Our national debt is over thirty trillion dollars. Let's write that out for emphasis: $30,000,000,000,000.

For reference, Pluto is only 2.6 billion miles away. Jesus was alive a mere 6.2 billion seconds ago. 30 trillion seconds equals 951,293 years. Thirty trillion is an unfathomable number.

President Trump started this term by looking for savings in the US government, yet wastes taxpayer money and effort on totally stupid and unnecessary shit like changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario.

We all know the next Democrat president will change it back, costing more taxpayer money.

This is why our grandchildren's grandchildren will live with all 30,000,000,000,000 consequences.

  1. within two Presidents, it will likely be twice that number.

It isn't just the Presidents though, blame Congress for the real spending.

Remember how much USAID spent ....(So that rich families could fund their second and third children at Taxpayer expense...After all, someone has to run those ineffective NGO charities, right?)
Remember that they still send BILLIONS in Foreign Aid to modern industrialized countries like Israel and Spain and such (I expect so they get kickbacks)

Then there is Ukraine and that money sink..

Yeah, Trump had done some Stupid Shit, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to Congress wasting Big Bucks

  2. I thought I read it hit 40 trillion the other day. Maybe that was the projection for a year from now.

  3. Sure sure. It's all due to changing the names of things.

  5. I never said it was a result of the name changes. I do say it is just ANOTHER stupid and unnecessary expense.

Every politician needs to have a deep and painful tattoo on their arm every time they are elected that reads “it is not your money”.

On the scale of waste, this is less than a drop, but it is indicative of the problem.

    1. It doesn’t matter, Ed it was unnecessary and it cost me and you to do it. Government at all levels has no understand they are stealing money from their citizens and wasting it.

A wasted dollar is the same wether giving it in welfare to illegals, or yes, changing the name of a lake or ocean on government documents and maps.

  7. Yes, but now we'll have a new ballroom, a new arch, gold painted statues, and this totally UNNECESSARY war that is costing us $1 BILLION a day. And you can't blame Congress for any of THIS outrageous spending, cause they were just ignored! MAGA!!!!!

    1. You clearly haven't read here much.
If you think wanting a small, fiscally responsible government is liberal, you are beyond dumb.
It is okay not to March in lockstep with the President. I even disagreed with Reagan occasionally.
