Trump is correct the Demo's will attack on that, the same ones that defended Obozo's birth place.

JOGAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11628754.post-54235524176704757672016-02-02T15:06:56.071-05:002016-02-02T15:06:56.071-05:00I concede your point on Cruz. Of the list of meh candidates I guess he gets my current lukewarm nod.

The only problem with the smoke filled room approach is that there is no doubt the Stupid Party would give us Bush, or heaven forbid, Christie, as a candidate. The GOP is terrified of conservatives. Perhaps as much as the average liberal.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17269114655802698386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11628754.post-80145207993589654322016-02-02T12:24:37.991-05:002016-02-02T12:24:37.991-05:00I don't worry about picking a candidate until ...I don't worry about picking a candidate until just before the primary in which I get to vote. Otherwise, the one I pick may not be around by then. It's happened before. When I know who's left, then I make my final pick. I do have my "no way I'll vote for" candidate(s) already picked out. I do have a narrowing of candidates in that way.Dan O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17861748308004322104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11628754.post-45981770082291917222016-02-02T11:11:13.335-05:002016-02-02T11:11:13.335-05:00And by the way, I don't care about Iowa politi...And by the way, I don't care about Iowa politics, either. Iowa is demographically-suspect for pulling the weight it does in the early running.

The trick is, if you wait till the Indiana primary, you aren't going to have much of a choice left, because all the early states are going to winnow the field before you cast a ballot.

I've long thought that primaries ought to be held on a single day, say the 2nd Tuesday in May, 6 months before the general. But too many states think they're too important to be lumped in with everyone else.

What I'd really prefer is a return to the smoke-filled room and the brokered convention. We got better candidates in those days.Fuzzy Curmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03802539927743643041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11628754.post-26640855185778128472016-02-02T11:07:41.702-05:002016-02-02T11:07:41.702-05:00Assuming you are characterizing Cruz as the narcis...Assuming you are characterizing Cruz as the narcissist, I think that is highly simplistic and unworthy of you, Joe. Remember who's responsible for that meme: The Republican establishment, who hate his guts because he's not afraid to be a conservative and speak hard truths.

Haven't we had enough of "can't we just get along?" If nobody in the Senate likes him, for me, that's a net positive.Fuzzy Curmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03802539927743643041noreply@blogger.com
