I am booked on a flight to see a major customer this morning. The company wants us to make our own reservations rather than go through the travel agent. No problem, I have been making my own travel reservations for years, prior to this company.

Boy, did I screw up. I forgot to book a rental car. I remembered this morning. Hertz -- nada. National -- nope. Budget, --zero. In fact there is not a car available at any rental company in my destination city.

Looks like I will be in the car for another 12 plus hour drive each way again this week. At least the car is new...

Oh, and the airline ticket is non-refundable. I will use it next month, at least.

Sucks to be me.

  1. Did you check Enterprise?
    Even if they don't have a shop at the airport, they will come and pick you up.
    I've used their rigs for road trips many a time, and never had an issue, plus they have weekend discounts.
    Could have saved you a long haul &? wear & tear on your own rig.
