I woke this morning to the sound of rain. It was short-lived. When I went to get the paper the ground was damp but the air was so filled with moisture it was like a steam room. I do not think the tiny bit of rain will lower the temperature, but it did put a tiny bit of moisture into the parched ground. Mostly it was just enough to put spots all over my just washed car.
We left New Albany Indiana after living there for 61 years and relocated in Florida in March. While in Indiana, I never, ever, knew of any blog writers from there.

The one thing my husband Joe likes down here is NO DIRT on the cars.We have a brief shower; he chamoised the truck, and all it clean.
Me? I figure we live on a giant sandbar and will be the first to sink and drown when the "big one" hits.
