I bought an unlicensed 6203ZZ yesterday..

It is clear we need to ban ball bearings.

Now.

For the children.

No one needs ball bearings.

Unless you need to eliminate friction from a rotating shaft, but still...

Perhaps we can register ball bearings and put a limit on the number anyone can buy?

Too soon? The President called for a ban on guns 24 hours after a nutjob shot little kids in Newtown. The ball bearings were as responsible for the murders in Boston as the guns in Connecticut.

  2. Well the King was just on the tube, all pissed because the Senate won't kiss his ass. Once again he lied his ass off claiming 90% of Americans were in favor of the bill. Sadly a recent poll (AP) showed 48% in favor of more restrictive gun laws. Americans don't trust the government, and it is not getting any better. Oh by the way, Ole Harry Reid voted against it.

  4. Banning ball bearings because they can be used in bombs would be about as stupid as limiting the amount of cold medicines people can purchase at Hoosier pharmacies because they can be used to make methamphetamine.

And unfortunately, the latter is just about to become law.

You would think that lawmakers would get the idea that banning the sale of certain things (or requiring background checks before the sale) does not create much of a problem for those who would flout the law in the first place. The only problem created by such legislation is for law-abiding citizens.

  5. Keep up Fuzzy. I've been limited on my Mucinex D in Indiana since they made it over the counter. Have to. Sign my name in blood every month so I don't hack up a lung.

  6. Oh, I keep up, Rita. I've been complaining about the "Papieren, bitte" attitude required to purchase psudeoephedrine products for years. This new legislation is going to make it even worse.
