Questions...

Just what did Billy Joe McAllister and that chick throw off the bridge anyway?

I think it was a copy of Howard' Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" dedicated to Mitchell Daniels that they found at a Martinsville yard sale.

  5. Movie was with Robbie Benson. They were arguing for some stupid reason she carried around a raggedy doll. They tussled over thre doll and it fell in the water.

Then Robbie went out and got drink, had some accidental gay encounter and later jumped off the bridge

You know, the kind of stuff that happens with every rural boy when they get drunk late at night.

Dumbest movie ever made from a song and tha includes Harper Valley PTA.

Here's the lesson boys, unless you really are gay, don't drink too much or you just might slip into gayness one night for no apparent reason.

  6. I was still in grade school, and even as a little kid I figured this couple had a baby, the parents said hell no she isn't marrying him, they threw the baby over, then out of guilt, he jumped.

But keep thinking the young don't know what's going on in their world ...

I was only 8 when this song came out. Of course I couldn't imagine someone throwing a baby off the bridge. Sounds like I wasn't the only one who thought it was a ring.

You really opened up a can of worms with this one Joe.
