woof

The neighbors got a new puppy a couple of months ago. They put it outside every morning at 6 am. It barks constantly. Bark, bark, bark, bark. If I can hear it, I know they can. It is damn annoying. I don't blame the dog.  He went out, did his business and now he wants back in. It is the owners who are rude.

Do I ignore it?  Do I be that asshole neighbor? Do I live with it?

  1. Steal the dog. Find it a GOOD home.

  3. You are not being the asshole, your neighbor is.

  4. Let your neighbor know that YOU can hear the dog. Ask why they can't.

Most places have laws against barking dogs. Give them a chance to fix the issue, but then, if need be, call the cops.

  5. Shoot the neighbor. T'ain't the dog's fault.

Seriously, noise ordinances are probably your friend. Lucky for our backyard neighbors that they keep their dogs in of a night, or they'd be getting visits from the gendarmerie on a regular basis.

  6. They're inside with the food, the TV, and the furnace going full blast. No reason to worry about a DOG. If you like dogs, lift it over the fence and keep it inside. It will love you for it and they'll forget they ever had a dog. Of course they'll produce another one by christmas.
