Quit yer cryin' NOLA

Reunion Island once got 72 inches of rain in a 24-hour period. For my fellow history majors out there, that is six feet of rain in one day.

 Katrina dropped 8-10 inches of rain on New Orleans.

    Reunion Island is above sea level otherwise we would call it Reunion Bay. New Orleans is mostly below sea level. Like pouring milk into a cereal bowl. Damn it Joe, the Muffelettas got soggy!

    By definition at least the edges of Reunion are at sea level...

    I was more blown away by six feet of rain in 24 hours
