Four O'Clock and All is Well

You are tired of reading about it. I'm tired of living it. Once again I was awake at an unholy hour this morning. Three-twenty on the old clock radio found me wide awake. I fought it as long as I could, now I'm here in the recliner pecking away with one finger on the iPad keyboard. I'm going to try to read a little and see if that gets me back to sleep. Perhaps I can cat nap until time to go to work.

  1. That happens to me occasionally, but was happening more frequently a few years ago when I was laid off for four months.
I remember reading that many people used to sleep in two segments.
Get up in the middle of the night, read, go back to sleep and this was normal.
I wonder if this explains Trump tweeting in the middle of the night.

  2. That's usually when the black cat decides to visit his favorite perch in our bedroom -- the windowsill behind our bed, where he manages to balance two front feet on the sill while hanging on to the iron bedframe with his back feet.

This usually ends in tears when he leaps from the window into the middle of the bed.
