I will be darned, I can iron a wrinkled shirt.
I can cook. I can clean. I can do minor carpentry, or simple plumbing repairs. I do windows. I can sew. But today, for the first time in 55 years, I ironed a shirt.
It does not look too bad either.
I am now the perfect man.
In my mind, anyway.
Never iron again, Joe. Throw your shirt in the dryer for a few minutes by itself and the wrinkles will be fluffed right out of it.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I usually do
ReplyDeleteNot so easy in a hotel!
So you are now less dependent on the wife.
ReplyDeleteA hotel you say? Welp, I know a little bit about those too.
ReplyDeleteHang your shirt in the bathroom when you take your morning shower. Steam from the shower usually pulls those wrinkles right out. If you're one of those two minute shower takers, find something to do while you just leave the hot water blasting (I've raised the humidity in my humidor the same way when pressed).

ReplyDeleteThats what I usually do. You are missing info. I was given a "company logo shirt" and told to wear it to visit a customer today. It had been in the package a very long time. There was nothing to make it look good besides either washing it or ironing it.
I have managed to pack and look presentable while traveling for more than 20 years, but this time I had to iron. I hope it is the last.
Ah well, maybe the Irish/Hungarian has a trick up her sleeve. I've exhausted mine.
