A moron dropped a gun from his pocket at an Indy area IKEA yesterday. A couple of kids found the gat and launched a shot into the store. No one was hurt.
A few weeks ago a kid found a gun in the restroom of a fast food restaurant. The owner of that gun was stupid too.
Both incidents were accidents.
There can be no firearms accidents.
Both should forfeit their right to bear arms. They have proven they are irresponsible and untrustworthy.
You will not find a bigger Second Amendment guy than me. When a person demonstrates his inability to handle those rights he or she should lose them for the public good. We don't allow felons to possess firearms because they have proven they are untrustworthy, and people who are careless with their guns should be punished too.
We take the keys from drunk drivers and we should start taking the Glock from idiot owners.
Yeah, I know slippery slope and all. I hate the term "common sense legislation". Common sense says stupid owners should lose the ability to endanger the public.
As always your rebuttal is welcome.
A right is a right.
ReplyDeleteYou may forfeit your right temporarily as a judgment, but permanent revocation for a non-capital offense is wrong.
Felons are not allowed to own or possess firearms. They also lose the franchise
ReplyDeletePermanently
Maybe we can treat these idiots like drunk drivers. Take away their guns for a period and then get them back after a required safety class.
ReplyDeleteDropping your gat out of your pocket for a child to find is stupid, but it doesn’t rise to the level of a felony. But it’s now being prosecuted as one,
ReplyDeleteDumb shit should have used a proper holster.
