I cannot find it today*, but earlier in the week I saw a list of the 50 most miserable places to live. Gary, Indiana topped the list. If you have ever driven through that blighted urban landscape you would likely agree with the "miserable" assessment.
What struck me reading the list was the one thing almost every municipality had in common.

Nearly every single place on the list has been controlled for decades by Democrats.
It is probably a coincidence.
