My wife’s birthday is in June. So is Father’s Day and our anniversary. It is generally a pleasant month kicking off summer and lots of great memories.
That said, I wish it was over and done and July was upon us. I am already sick and tired and disgusted with Pride Month.
I'm proud.
ReplyDeleteServing my country and protecting the Constitution insured equal rights for all.
EQUAL. Not preferential.
"Pride" goeth before the fall?
Which one is lust month? Asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteTHey won't stop at the end of June.
ReplyDeleteNow get sick and tired & disgusted with guns.
ReplyDeletePlease see my post on May 10 advocating severe penalties for anyone using a gun in a crime.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, if we had constant in-your-face advocacy from corporate, entertainment and media promoting guns, I would e sick and tired and disgusted about that too.
I get you feeling bummed out. For me, the month of March has too many 'special occasions'. March 9 is wedding anniversary. 24 is daughter's birthday. 25 is wife's birthday. 30 is when car insurance payment is due.
ReplyDeleteBroke as a Joke by end of that month.
I've learned to set aside an envelope for stashing $$$ year round for this month. A hundred a month stashed will see me through the worst of March.
For Father's Day (FD), I tried to make a deal with wife several years ago. You get a free pass on FD if I have he same for Mother's Day (MD). Both our kids are adults and we have 20+ years of celebrating for both of us. Truce ?
Nope was the answer. Once a Mom, always a Mom.
Just wait until Juneteenth gets shoved in your face...
