Way too early

So there we were in Gateway Arch City yesterday for reasons. The wife and I ducked into a mall for different reasons. None of that is relevant. Try to keep up.

Anyway, I’m sitting in a chair in the mall, playing with my phone and people watching when the background music seeps into my ears. 

WTH? Can it be? It is! They are playing Christmas music. 

Look, if you have read here for at least a year, you know I dig Christmas tunes. Not in early October. Sheesh, Santa better not be watching yet. 

I get the big box stores are starting to drag their stuff out, at least they aren’t playing White Christmas yet.

    We were in Five Guys the other night and they were playing Christmas music.

    The pumpkin spice BS just barely started, and they're playing Christmas music.

    Please take whoever made that decision and put them out of our misery.

    Yeah, Christmas decorations and trees already in evidence at local Wal-Mart. Halloween is making a meager show, no Thanksgiving decorations and Internet is already pushing early Black Friday sales. Silly Season is almost here.

    Last week the Halloween decorations had already disappeared and been replaced with Christmas fodder. I expect 4th of July fireworks displays will be going up any daynow.
