I’m just not sure what to say about it. He was a horrible President and we have him to thank for both DoEs. But he seemed like a nice man who was probably just in over his head.
In retrospect, Jimmy at least gave us Ronald Reagan and didn't bankrupt the country OR sell himself out to the PRC. It's really a face-off between Wilson and Biden at this point. Jimmy is just peanuts in comparison.
Also I'd note that at least Jimmy didn't have to cheat to get elected. That bell was run when Nixon resigned. Ford didn't have a chance in the hot place.
