Here is a version from the Clapton/Winwood tour a few years ago. It features Winwood soloing the whole thing. Truly awesome. The guy can still belt out a tune.

John Barleycorn was one of the very first CDs I ever purchased, back in the very early 1990s when my wife gifted me with a cd player for my stereo system. I think it was one of 10 or 20 I got for three cents from the BMG Music club. I purchased my four or five more and moved on. It was a good bargin.

I distinctly remember the first time I heard John Barleycorn. Late at night, listening to the underground radio station (WABX). Just in awe.
