I am seriously jonesing for a Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait (insert all of the appropriate trademarks and copyrights, etc.) right now. I know it is only 8:39 AM. I don't care.
It does not matter how badly I want said Peanut Buster Parfait. Our local DQ (again with the trademarks and copyrights) is the old fashioned walk up outside type store. It is closed for the winter. There is no way I will drive to Capital City just to get ice cream.
I would not go get one even if the local store was open and serving right now. I have willpower.
But now you are thinking a little ice cream does sound good, aren't you?

Not as good as a sear-cooked, inch-thick Angus beef steak, but your point is taken.
Nah, I'm ready for some biscuits and gravy myself. Just put the gravy in a glass, thanks.
Hot.Fudge.Sundae. mmmmmmmm mmmmm.
I know biscuits are not on your radar at the moment but here is a GOOD easy recipe for you: 1 cup whipping cream and two cups self-rising flour ( I prefer White Lily). 450 degrees for 9-10 minutes - depends on your oven, maybe more time. Don't forget to knead the dough.
After 49 years, the DQ in our small town just closed down...They opened a new state of the art unit a block away complete with drive-thru. I've been meaning to check it out, but everyone in town hasn't been there yet. The lines / wait times are like an hour long...Just Damn!
Oh damn.
Yep, 80 here,I could use a bit of ice cream.

If Pizza qualifies as a vegetable then the PEANUT BUSTER PARFAIT is up there among the super foods. Dairy, protein and vegetable(chocolate comes from a small tropical tree called Theobroma cacao)are covered.
Tell the friendly, highly motivated youngster behind the counter to put a cherry on top and you've got fruit covered to. Better yet, have them pour the whole bone strengthening mixture into a waffle cone and we've got the grains covered too.
Only thing missing from putting the capstone on this frigid food pyramid fit for a pharaoh is the fats ,oils and sweets(use sparingly).
If it wasn't a Friday in Lent tomorrow I'd be stopping for one.
