Can someone, anyone, explain to me how we are going to get the power to charge all of these tens of thousands of new charges Biden is planning for all of the electric cars the lefty government types are forcing upon us?
I see no plans at all to strengthen the grid to the extent we need to keep up with current demand as we shutter coal plants, let alone increasing demand exponentially.
If we cover the entire Midwest farm land with solar panels, where are we going to get our food?

Happened to catch a show on Food Network the other night. Host lives on a cattle ranch and one contestant lived on a farm. Big time Chef with 8 restaurants said he had never been to a farm. WOW
Driving- Nashville to Birmingham on Sunday we came to a stretch where we could see both sides of the interstate for MILES. LOTS and LOTS of cars and trucks in all four lanes and I asked my family-
How are we gonna recharge ALL these vehicles?
Answer?

It is estimated it will take 25,000,000 solar panels to replace one coal power plant— and a solar panel cannot produce in darkness and storing the energy it does produce is not currently economically feasible.
Hi, Joe! It's Jackie, your lone liberal reader from sunny CA--the Los Angeles area, to be exact. You may be surprised to find that I agree with you on this issue. I think electric cars are a good idea IN THEORY, but they are simply not practical at this stage in their development. Our grid here in CA has been gasping while dealing with the horrible heat wave we just had; I can't imagine adding more to it with charging electric cars. We will have to spend much more on infrastructure--just in general, really. Coal plants may be cheaper (I don't know the details on that) but they are so much dirtier that most places are trying to phase them out. Besides, newer cars are very energy efficient, far more than my old '68 Mustang was. But sometimes I do miss the 302 engine! :) :)
