Dear Baltimore,
Get over it.
There was a football team in Baltimore called the "Colts" for 32 years. The franchise moved to Indianapolis in 1984. The circumstances of the move left many in Baltimore angry. The owner packed up the team and shipped it in moving vans in the dark of night.
Baltimore seems to forget that the city made it clear the Colts were not welcome. fans did not come to the games. If 50% of the supposed "die-hard" fans who "will never get over it" actually went to the games, the Colts would likely still be in Baltimore.
The city was making efforts to take the team from the owner through eminent domain. If a government entity was trying to take your business away, what would you do?
The Colts were in Baltimore for 32 years. They have now been in Indianapolis for 27. Maybe in six years the people of Baltimore will quit crying about the move. After all, they do currently have a very successful NFL franchise. Maybe they should support it?

Funny, I don't even like the Colts (Bears fan from infancy), and I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. People need to get a life and move on.
"After all, they do currently have a very successful NFL franchise."
Which, coincidentally, was packed up and moved to Baltimore in the middle of the night.
The Baltimore Raisins!
I lived in a rowhouse in Baltimore somewhere near the stadium. I never saw the stadium but on the weekend we could hear the roar of the crowd. Those were the days of Johnny Unitas. We were not a football family but I remember that name. My daughter was born in Hopkins in 1966 so I think you have it wrong about lack of support for the Colts because that was the time I heard the roar.
A Non mouse_
It may be true the city of Baltimore supportd the team in the 1960's/Johnny U era. But by the late 1970's and early 1980' the team was only getting about 20,000 season ticket buyers and the stadium was but half-filled on game day.
Irasay by refusing to pay for decent players had a lot to do with it. Th estadium was falling apart and the city refused to build a new one. Indianapolis did.
Of course we built the stadium on spec. We didn't have a team to put in it.
Anybody remember the Indianapolis Arrows? Yeah, me neither.
I had to look up the Arrows. I had forgotten about tha teffort. In fact I did not know the dreamers had even come up with a name for a Indy based MLB team.
I do remember Marge Schott quipping that Indy would never have a baseball team while she was alive. I suspect the owners in Chicago and St Louis would agree.
Besides, the Indianapolis Triple A team has one of the most perfect stadiums to watch baseball. And ticket prices are reasonable.
