Remember my last post? No, not the rerun, the one where things did not go so well with my transplant? Well mentally cut and past that one right here. Yes, it still isn't sticking down deipite spending approx 72 straight hours flat on my back. So we did the whole needles in the eyeball thing again yesterday. I'm again on my back until Friday; only up to eat and relieve myself and short stretches. The doc thinks I'm going to have to likely have a new implant. We will know Friday afternoon. If so, my left eye will be redone on Monday instead of doing my right eye. I've had three procedures on my left eye in eight days, with the balance spent lying flat on my back. I'm starting to not have much fun. Plus the Cubs are losing to the damn Sox. WTH?
It's hard to type upside down on the iPad. Forgive the typos

Apparently the glue they're using isn't tacky enough.
Hope things start to turn your way...including the *#&*@! Cubs.
Hope they get your eye fixed soon. Lying flat would drive me crazy but what can you do?.. No cubs please, I am from Pittsburgh and a pirates fan.
Hang in there!
Hey Joe, I have followed your posts for some time now. Love your acerbic wit. Sorry to read about the implant troubles. I had radial keratotomy surgery more than 32 years ago and have never regretted it. Hope you are well soon. As regards old jokes, when customers come into my SW Michigan store from the Chicago area wearing their Cubs stuff, I always ask what do neutered bears and the World Series have in common? NO CUBS... Roger
Good luck my friend. Hope it gets better.
Prayers for my friend.
The Cubs won Wednesday night! Now if Cleveland would only start doing that again.
Hope everything gets better soon.
Thank you for all of your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.
It could be way worse, there is little to no pain. Mostly just boredom. That I can handle. I have managed to keep the frustration to a minimum. More importantly, I have been able to shed the poor me attitude after about two or three hours of it last Friday after I went through the first "re-do". What is a few weeks? At he end I will be able to see better than I have in years.
Compared to what Jean's sister or Dustbury are going through, this is a minor irritation.
