Also, there were 11 million job openings in the US at year-end 2022. I suppose not many of those were for TikTok Influencers, which appear to be the aspirational vocation for so many.
Some people on the left are stupid, just plain stupid, ignorant. My friend who I mostly agree with has a stupid opinion. We got into an angry shouting match. She says the lack of employees could easily be solved by opening the borders with no constraints. All those people coming in could fill our jobs. She failed to question if those people have the skills to fill the jobs that are open. She thinks people should live whereever they want to live, that borders are artificial constructs. Well, the last part is true. However, I wonder if she would be so willing to let tents be put up in her yard to help people who need help. Would she let them move onto her ample porch if that was better for them in a rainstorm. And, she has extra rooms. Maybe she could let them come inside because it is too cold out or too hot. She has two full baths, three bedrooms, living room, dining room, and den. Her kitchen could have several families preparing meals at one time.
Some lefties are loonies. She thinks all bloggers are going to harm me somehow. She goes berserk when I mention my blog, any blog.
If Brandon doesn't want to defend our borders, then why are we giving hundreds of millions to other countries for them to build better borders. So if he doesn't give a rat's behind for our borders then not one more $ goes anywhere to be used for a foreign border.
As to these 'invaders' most don't speak English. How are they going to work as a cook or waitress when asked about the menu? Are they plumbers, pipe fitters, welders, nurses, dress makers, salesmen, truck drivers or trades we need. Can they work in a office or deliver mail? What exactly are we allowing in? And most of all Why?
At one point where I live they had the drop off happen. Middle of the night at the bus depot. No warning, nothing. One tax the dem's are missing is the amount of dollars being sent back. The men would bunk up together and be 4/6 in apartment. They would pay the rent, buy that weeks grocery, put gas in the car, go to yard sales and then sent almost every dime to their home countries.
