PSA

I have been a registered organ donor since I was 18. While I'm certain there is very little anyone could want from my body, you never know.

Starting next week the gift of someone's eyes, more specifically corneal tissue, will keep me from going blind. I cannot express my thanks enough to the anonymous donor.

If you are not a registered donor, you should consider it.

I've had 'Organ Donor' on my DL for years.

I hope the surgery goes well for you next week.

Sending you the finest thoughts regarding next week.
Seems like John Prine's "Please Don't Bury Me" would be an appropriate selection for Fridays music.

For 30 years...

The plan is to strip me for spare parts like a car, then cremate the unneeded/unusable parts.

My eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and everything else is 50 years old, but, with the exception of my liver, most should be usable....

Organ donation is a no brainer (future slogan???). Hopefully next wee you can play us a little Johnie Nash. Best of luck on the surgery and God speed on the recovery.
