A morality test

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car. Think before you continue reading.
This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used a part of a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first.
Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.
However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

I'd pick the perfect mate. The friend that once saved your life should be able to help the old lady. He does have experience.

No question

you can't possibly expect me to suspend the disbelief that I recognized the perfect mate...from sight

The little old lady. I'd wave to my friend, if they were really my friend they'd understand that we needed to get the lady out of the storm.

I have enough faith to know that if they were really my soulmate I'd find them again.

Whats the answer I should have?

Have your old friend borrow your car to take the old lady to safety, and have a great time getting to know your perfect partner in the electric atmosphere while waiting for the bus.

Just wave as you go by. Call 911 on the cell phone and tell them about an old lady in distress. The old friend will just wave back because he knows you are in a hurry and there ain't no such thing as a perfect mate!

I would pick up the friend and wish the other two well.

Interesting. Would I choose loyalty (friend), compassion/duty (old lady), or love/romance/potential (perfect mate)?

I'd probably choose the old lady, because it's a life or death situation.

Now throw someone into the equation that can get me a high paying high satisfaction job, and the little old lady will have to fend for herself...
