Help me, Rhonda

Can someone explain to me why a respected Judge that interprets the law as it is written, who believes the Constitution is clear,is labeled an extremist? Is it extreme that a person does not see how an obscure toad that lives in ONE county in California does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Interstate Commerce Clause? Is it extreme to say that there is no right to privacy anywhere in the Constitution? Is it extreme to base your decision on the law on the LAW itself, not the court decisions of Germany, Canada, or Uganda? How did we come to this?
