Do you think at some point, say around 11:00 Eastern last night, that Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, watched Payton Manning and the Denver Broncos and muttered, "Holy Crap, what have I done?"
And he could get that neck injury walking down the street and turning at a loud noise.
And Luck, or Griffin for that matter, wouldn't be on the draft table next year, not to mention that we would still have miserable season somewhere down the line still the year after we lost him again, in order to get that draft pick.
On the flip side, how about cutting Peyton Manning and getting nothing but cap room for him?
I miss Peyton, and I hate seeing him a Bronco and I hope he retires before he's Ali or Jordan. I also hope he puts on the blue and white to retire too.

All it takes is one neck injury and Payton is out for the year -- and maybe for life.
The Broncos were willing to take that chance. I think Payton is a fool, personally.
