Hold the mayo

I made a pot of potato soup last night for supper. As usual, we had BLTs to round out the meal. The house still smells like bacon. I’m not complaining, merely stating fact. The tomatoes were from my daughter’s garden, the lettuce from the grocery, the bread toasted white, the bacon pan fried. Yes I’m an old dog when it comes to frying up my bacon. I’d rather clean grease from the stove top than clean the oven. It is okay, you cook bacon your way, I’ll do it mine. As long as we both get bacon, life is good. Unless you are eating turkey bacon. In that case I will be judgmental.

Sorry, bacon in the oven is great.
cook it low and slow and it's mess free and super tastey.

Cookie sheet, cover with foil, lay bacon down, put in oven at 375 for about 15/20 minutes. Bacon does not splatter or curl up. It's flat when it comes out of oven and lays down perfectly on my bread slices.

Nuking isn't a bad way.

Any way to cook bacon is fine so long as you have tasty, tasty cooked bacon to eat.

I'd also say it was a bit early for potato soup but it's definitely fall-like out there, particularly of a morning.

The wife had an endoscopy yesterday so I made soup to soothe her throat
