I have seen plenty over the past few years in the papers and on the news and in blog comments about the evil Republicans. I have heard how incompetent is George Bush. I have been told Conservatives are heartless, if we did not ruin social programs through inhumane "cuts", welfare etc. would work.
Louisiana and New Orleans have been ruled by the Democrats for more than a Century.
Louisiana ranks in the bottom tier in per capita income, education, and literacy. New Orleans has one of the highest murder rates per capita. More than 50% of the population is on welfare. There is double digit unemployment. The State and local government routinely take in more Federal funds than they pay in taxes. The City has pro sports teams, conventions, one of the most dynamic tourist industries in the World. They have the opportunity to gain a significant tax revenue from restaurants, hotels and rental cars, all on the backs of out of towners. Yet the city is virtually broke.
If the Democrats have had nearly unfettered reign over the State and local governments, why are both so fucked up? How do you blame Republicans for the mess that is New Orleans and Louisiana, and I mean before Mother Nature kicked them both in the crotch?
Just thinkin' out loud.

Yep. Mostly Cjun had a hell of a post on the same thing yesterday. New Orleans should have been a utopia accoding to the donks logic. It was over 60 percent black with a black mayor and black administrators. All democrats of course. Money was poured in beyond the taxes paid by the denizens of the city but yet it was the most corrupt government in the country. GO DONKS!
Hell, HB: Why you think the blues media leads with the Big Sleazy, when Mississippi got a much more severe ass-whupping from Katrina? Because Mississippi is much more conservative, that's freaking why.
