I found myself at the doctor this morning. It wasn’t by accident. It was a previously scheduled surgical follow up. It seems my broken foot is still broken. Perhaps “not healed as much as we would like” was more akin to the diagnosis.
Well, thinks I, I’ve always been a bit slow. Although generally I heal fairly quickly. Except, I have to venture, my right foot. Anyway that explains my pain, swelling, and limp.
We will re-evaluate in six weeks.
Happy Monday, indeed.

It's always disappointing when you don't heal as fast as you thought you would.
My endocrinologist tested my vitamin D level and I was woefully low. Since massive doses of D, I heal much better, like I did when I was a young woman.

I have a friend like you, take it easy said Doc means only dig up the flower bed, clean out the garage, mow and trim the yard and go for a mile walk. And was surprised when his lower leg wouldn't heal. It resulted in 4 more surgery's with the possibility of losing his leg. Then, he finally paid attention. Sat his rear down, let people wait on him and it slowly got better. But he still walks with a limp. Was over the other day and was talking about what a stubborn fool he had been at the beginning. Of course hindsight is so much clearer.
Margi
Diabetes can make healing more difficult.
Bingo Jean. Diabetes (feet!) and the fact that even with arch supports I walk on the outside edge of my foot are contributing factors
Believe it or not Margi I have followed the Doctor orders pretty closely
Especially after surgery
I am sorry Joe. Sending healing thoughts your way.
