I am a little disturbed over the Federal takeover of policing the nation’s capitol. It is of course Federal land, so I can see it. I’m a little uneasy using National Guardsmen as police. It is one thing to protect Federal buildings from rioters. It is another to see a guardsman on every corner. And when the president threatens the same for other cities with a high crime rate, I have a serious issue.
Many of you think Trump can do no wrong, and if makes things better, it is worth it.
You should have spent a little more time in history class.

Trump can be an unpredictable loose cannon; I am worried at some point he will overstep.
And of course when he does, it will be "HUGE".............
Home Rule was always a joke. DC is a federal district and of course the feds have LE authority there. And it needs cleaned up, badly. It did even a decade ago when I was traveling out there on a regular basis.
As for the rest of the cities he mentioned...the usual Trump MO is threaten dire consequences, the object of said dire consequences cleans up their act, Trump doesn't actually have to impose dire consequences. Canada as the 51st state, etc. (Not that Canada has cleaned up its act, but it is staring high tariffs in the face. Which is also something the President has the right to impose.) LA found out the hard way that it couldn't prevent the feds from coming in and cleaning out their illegals. And all of this didn't have to happen, except that the Demonrats took everything to extremes.
FWIW I fully expect Indianapolis to be in his cross-hairs at some point. We got trouble in 500 City, and the troublemakers think that's just fine -- or will until suddenly they find themselves being closely scrutinized.
You won't see it until it happens to you.

And these demographic groups have been attached to the hip with the Democrat Party for generations.
Now step back again and try to figure out why it should be that blacks continue to commit the overwhelming majority of crimes. The answer, or at least where to look for the answer is in the trajectory of the black family post World War 2 and the Civil Rights era. As the final stakes were driven into the heart of Jim Crow, the Democrats saw a very large chunk of the voting base, American blacks, moving away from them as they climbed the socio-economic ladder, and so as that happened, the Democrat drive to re-enslave black America via big government dependency started the destruction of the black family, which accelerated with the culture that rejects integration and "acting white" as being a race-traitor and inauthentic. Western values and ethics of morality, hard work, education and responsibility are rejected and an entire cultural movement that reinforces the toxic notion of black victimhood gives them the green light to do anything to survive in "a white man's world."
Look at DEI, the 1619 Project, the anti-racism JIVE Kampf of Ibram X Krement et al, the constant drumbeat of Institutional White Supremacy as all pervasive and inescapable. No wonder we had the Democrat/Leftist led movement to Open up the prisons, decriminalize crime and defund the Police. Forget for a moment that Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Freddie Gray. George Floyd and all the rest of them were engaging in crime when they encountered their fates at the hands of citizens and/or the police. No, for the Democrats, better they should be portrayed as victims of White supremacy. Lest we forget the summer of 2020 when cities were burned to the ground and that evil hideous beast the then mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake demanded that the rioters must have "The Space to Destroy."
We have given the Democrat Left the time and the space to destroy both the Black Family and much of this nation as it was founded.
So, President Trump can call out the National Guard to try and restore order in DC, but given all I have stated, to me it's virtually akin to pissing in the wind.
And yes, Israel must and should destroy Hamas, but at the end of the day the root cause of Hamas' existence will still remain: Islam.
So, call out the National Guard, but until Democrat/Leftism is utterly and completely eradicated America's cities, American Blacks and all of America as founded and as we want it to be, will continue to face mortal peril that calling out the Guard will not solve."
Racist rants (above) aside, I too worry about the overstepping of the Trump administration. While mostly I agree with him and the actions of his administration, he too needs t have limits placed upon him.
Policing the streets of DC for a short time won't really make any changes, the issue is the failure of the leaders of these large cities. Soft on crime policies, making excuses for certain demographics and letting them get away with certain behavior, etc. caused this, and nothing but changes in policy will fix it.
Screaming racist in response to truths you don't like isn't going to work anymore. People are SO SICK of Dems twisting truth to fit their narrative of the day.

Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed by a Capitol Police officer as she crawled in a window. He could have pulled her back but drew his gun and shot her in the back of her head. She was an Air Force veteran. Pelosi formed a committee and they found him not guilty. Only 1 cop died of injuries from that day. And if you see Trump's entire speech that day he said at the end, which they never show, Go in Peace.
There was also an elderly woman beaten to death by capitol police. And the cop who died was not killed by protesters.
But Demonrats are not allowed to see or hear (and refuse to seek to learn) truth.

Indy used to be fun. Now it's just another blue poophole, and I won't go. You'll be overrun with thugs who can never be prosecuted, but at least you'll have the nicest roads and streetlights. You know, the things Dems think are important.
Indy cannot even brag about good streets or streetlights.
Downtown is increasingly dangerous at night and homeless encampments are growing and the city lacks the will do do anything about the problem or the crime.
