Reportedly, after he went to the studio and recorded his solo, Van Halen rearranged the song adding more guitar than was asked of him, Eddie handed the tape to Jackson and said "Here, I fixed your song."
After listening, Michael left the changes.
Damn, it looked like we were about to achieve world peace e through dance, then Michael got all distracted by monkeys and little kids and weird stuff.
