Do that mean what I think it do?

A recent commenter implied my usage of the term "Bitch Slap" was offensive. Since I am an old guy and sometimes do not keep up with the changing definitions of words and phrases in today's fast paced world, I though perhaps I did not understand the meaning of the term.

According to the Urban Dictionary:

1. bitch slap

To open handedly slap someone. Denote disrespect for the person being bitch slapped as they are not worthy of a man sized punch. Suggests the slap was met with little resistance and much whining

Nope, it means what I thought it did, and I used the term in the manner I intended.

PS. Two points for you if you get the movie reference in the title of this post.

I agree with you, but I can see the other point of view as well. Look at a woman's fingernails, and try to imagine what would happen if she made a fist.

I read a woman's rant about how she was treated at a computing conference and thought that she erred in the handling of several situations. If I behaved as some of the men she complained about behaved, I'd expect her to place her hand on my cheek with such force that the stinging sensation would correct future behavior.

Perhaps bastard slapping would be a more appropriate term...

The idiom is correct. Ever seen a woman slap another woman? That's what's meant.

If you can't deal with it, what are you doing here?

It is proper usage, as in "He bitch slap she skanky azz back across the Treaty of Greenville Line to the West Side".

Oh look, I included Respect for Third World Cultures too!
