John Lennon released his musical vision of liberal utopia in 1971. I can't sing a lick, so I won't even try to duplicate his efforts. But on this Monday I encourage you to imagine a post filled with well-crafted phrases. Imagine a blog filled with humor. Imagine a blog post with insight and political savy. What if you stopped by here and read a post filled with thought -provoking ideas? Imagine letters and words and paragraphs that were so moving you punched your fist skyward with an accompanying audible "yes!".
Imagine that this was that post and you will see these words are as much an unrealistic fantasy as Lennon's hit song.
Imagine that this is a pithy insightful reply to you post.
He meant well.
Mark David Chapman should have gotten a medal.
Then Hinkley needs one too.
Ah, liberals; can never take a joke, or recognize one, either.
Ah conservatives, always quick to take the bait and act superior. I'm taking and recognizing a joke every day when Fox has their latest coverage on The Donald.
Some of us act superior because we are.
Of course Trump is a buffoon. Some of his most outrageous positions are still less idiotic than claiming global warming/cooling/climate change is far more serious as a threat than extreme Islamic terrorism. Even though that bithch Mother Nature is the biggest mass murderer ever, I'm pretty sure it is far more likely I die in a bomb planted at the mall by a religious sociopath than drowned in the flood of rising seas due to polar ice melt. Or that Bernie Sanders ( or John and Yoko's) Marxian utopia could ever work.
