One of the most infamous symbols of racism and hate, according to reports, is the noose, since it represents the lynchings of Black People in the 19th and early 20th centuries.*
LeBron and other NBA players refuse to play until there is justice for Jacob Blake and the police officer is held accountable. Do they not want an investigation? Do they just want to rush to judgement? Should we just go ahead and punish (or worse) the police officer?
Sounds a lot like a mob lynching to me.
*About 1/4 of lynchings from 1865 to 1941 were white people. Doesn’t make it right, but it wasn’t just a racist thing all of the time.

What about a police officer's warning and orders do people NOT understand? How did the officers not know he was reaching for a gun. To me this is like drawing a gun and being upset the other person got off the first shot. When a policeman has told me to "stand there" or "shut up," I obey. Now, I was trying to help a woman whose bf tried to run over her, so I was not in trouble, just trying to explain. The police did not chase me down...lol. But, how can a person not expect a policeman NOT to react?
But, lynching was a racist punishment. That story was about a black man.
Most lynchings of white people were because they were sympathetic to blacks and or they were openly anti lynching. That in my opinion still makes them racist events.
