Do any of you know where the wife stashed the box her little Nikon came in? The charging cord for the rechargeable battery and for transferring pics to the 'puter were in that box. She put it in a place she would know right where it was when she needed it. Now she has no clue.
Help a brother out will ya?

Upper shelf in the closet.
I don't know, I never know either about the charger and cord...but I understand completely. I send your wife a wink and a hug.
Is it black?
Black things disappear.
If you have a car with black carpeting, check there...
Next to, and under the seats.
Top dresser drawer? Desk drawer?
In your office near your computer?
In my house it would probably be in the box in the basement that has 1/2 dozen unnamed power cords with the transformers, 14 6ft. gray telephone cables, 3 1/2 ft of speaker wire, a cheapo clip-on tv antenna and some stuff we "really" don't need.
Did she get it for christmas? Perhaps its with that stuff.
Best of luck on the quest.
It's plugged into the outlet, right next to the 'puter, You just overlooked it.
I leave such cables plugged into the back of the computer.
If you can't find it, might I suggest you Google for the users manual for your camera, and find the Nikon part number for the cable, and try Google and Amazon for that part number.
Also, you might look at all your other USB cables for funky little devices. I remember a former boss came to work without charging his cell phone. The charging port on his cell phone looked just like the charging port on my Palm Pilot. And what do you know it charged the phone. And brought up a cute little message from Verizon pointing out that it was not possible to copy the data from the phone to a PC.
Joe your premise is all wrong, women dont lose shit, its always the mans fault. at least thats how things roll here.
It's on top of the fridge, or in that drawer in the desk where all the other weird crap goes.
Take heart in the fact that it is indeed "safe" wherever it is.
The quickest way to find it is to take Dave's advice and buy replacement cable and charger. You'll find it the day after the new ones arrive.
