Was taking a summer journalism class @ IU between junior and senior high school and this was playing endlessly on the radio up there. When I returned home it didn’t exist on southern Indiana radio(south of Bloomington range). I thought I was hot stuff. I like their old stuff. God Zella= Dre Kirkpatrick. ( the previous 4 words is what spell check thinks Godzilla = blech! means).

In case you’re wondering. School sucks this year! May be time to hitch up to the pension train.

I meant to ad some commentary to the post.

Chicago was a much different band under the leadership of a Terry Kath. They could really rock. Like Styx and REO they had much success with 80s ballad rock, but the band was much better and edgier in the early days. They were always top notch and tight musicians.

I think school sucks for everyone in education these days.

The economy is taking a huge hit with schools closed.
It ain't Covid. It's kill the economy, kill Trump.
And if the schools are no longer paying for these services to companies which had grown to depend on them, where is the money going?

Drove 5 hours to Jax, FL in either '71 or '72 to see them. They played the entire "Color My World" album, then encore'd with "I'm a Man."
Dating a British "Bird" the first time, with wine coolers close at hand, it was a memory that brings a smile to my face.
"Are you optimistic, 'bout the way that things are goin'", will never be the same without Terry Kath.
If you've not seen his daughter's "Terry Kath" experience, and you're a fan, dig it up.
What a loss.
